How to choose a suitable styrofoam ESP making CNC router machine?

How to choose a suitable styrofoam ESP making CNC router machine? You have to consider below some aspects:

1. Materials: What materials will you process by the machine?

   Styrofoam,wood,aluminum or others? Different materials need different configurations. 

2. Machine size: What's the raw materials size?

   Length, Width, Height (inch, cm) decide the machine size and model. Do you want to process a whole product, or process piece by piece? 

3. Do you prefer a 3-axis,4-axis or 5-axis machine? 

   For foam carving, can use 6kw /7.5kw or 9.0kw spindle, no matter water cooled or air cooled. For wood and aluminum milling cutting engraving, it is better to use more powerful spindle motor.

4. How many tools do you need?

   If the mold is complicated, suggest to choose auto tool change EPS CNC Router. It has 8-12pcs tools magazine.

5. What kinds of worktable do you need?

   Foam making machine can use clamp table, wood moulding machine can be equipped with vacuum table or T-slot table; aluminum moulding machine can use T-slot clamp table, steel table or cast iron table.

6. Designing software.

   Artcam, Powermill,UG,Mastercam, and other CAM softwares can work with the EPS CNC Router machines. 4-axis and 5-axis machines will need post processor to generate correct toolpath.

7. Functions. 

   Do you need RTCP (Rotating Tool Center Point) function? For 4-axis, we suggest RTCP if have enough budget, for 5-axis, RTCP is necessary. RTCP advantage is no need to set every bits compensation when programming, more easier, higher precision and save time.
