In the actual application of CNC plasma cutting machine, the cutting quality is inseparable from the stability of the plasma cutting machine arc. In other words, the stability of the plasma cutting machine arc directly affects the metal cutting quality, which will result in uneven and accumulated cuts. Defects such as bumps and not smooth cuts will also shorten the service life of the plasma cutting machine nozzle and electrodes, resulting in frequent failures of the basic components of the control system. The stability of the high-pressure plasma arc determines the metal plasma cutting machine quality. In order to control the stability of the plasma cutting machine arc, we must first understand the causes of the instability of the plasma arc.
The reason may bring arc break:
⑴ cutting nozzle, electrode damage
⑵ No connection of grounding line
⑶ Air pressure insufficient
If the working pressure is too low, the ejection speed of the plasma arc will be weakened, and a high-energy, high-speed plasma arc cannot be formed, resulting in poor quality of the incision, impermeability, and accumulation of tumors in the incision. If the working pressure is too high, the excessive airflow will disperse the arc column energy and weaken the cutting strength of the plasma arc. Therefore, in the cutting process, the appropriate air pressure value should be selected so as not to affect the cutting accuracy.
