The working principle of CNC plasma cutting machine is to use the high energy density and instantaneous high temperature of plasma to melt metal materials to achieve cutting, welding and other processes. CNC plasma cutting machine generates arc discharge through the power supply, which ionizes the gas atoms to form plasma. This high energy density and instantaneous high temperature can instantly melt the metal material and form a high-speed air flow, thereby blowing away the molten metal and forming a cut.
Plasma cutting machines usually use compressed air as the working gas, and use high-temperature and high-speed plasma arcs as the heat source to partially melt the metal being cut, and at the same time use high-speed airflow to blow away the melted metal to form a narrow slit. This cutting method is not only fast, narrow and flat, but also has a small heat-affected zone, low workpiece deformation, simple operation, and significant energy-saving effects.
